I just love this shoot and this family. The Cottons are good friends of ours and when Kim asked me to take her family pictures I just knew this idea would be perfect for them. Although we had to avoid the laundromat workers and adhere to the many rules I think we still got some great shots.

Thanks for being open for something different Kim, I hope you enjoy them. :)

2011 just like every year has proven to bring its ups and downs. It has been a challenging year for me personally filled with new obstacles for my family and I to face, especially these past months. By far the most challenging thing that 2011 brought was the unexpected death of my father in-law at 51. His death came as such a surprise to my family and I and helped me realize exactly how short or lives are. This next year my resolution is to not take my time and family for granted. Therefore, in order to do this I will be making a few changes to my business and will be taking a few months off during the beginning of 2012 to spend time with my family and husband before he deploys. I will likely be returning in April. I’m looking forward to 2012 and what is has in store for me and my photography. This past year has been amazing and I have been so blessed to work with such wonderful clients. Putting together this blog was extremely difficult, I easily could of had a 100 pictures to share. :) Luckily I spared y’all and chose my top forty, and those were hard to narrow down. Thank you to those that have supported me through this past year and believed in me. I truly enjoy doing this and I look forward to another year of growing as a photographer.

Wow…I have really been neglecting my blog lately. Well, I guess this is the perfect session to share with y’all after the lack of new post. I am absolutely in love with this session!! I knew I was going to love them while I was taking the pictures and I am even more in love again after editing them. Carrie and her family are very special to my husband and I. We meet the LaHaie’s at our first duty station in Washington D.C. Carrie was the very first person I met after leaving home and moving 24 hours across the country. Right away we all became a family and did everything together. At the time that I met Carrie, she was pregnant with Aubrey, their oldest, who is also our God daughter. I will never forget when that little girl was born, I was the first person to visit her and hold her in the hospital…. awe little Aubs! :) Anyway… sorry to ramble, when Carrie and the girls came from Arizona to visit us I just had to take some pictures of them. I just adore this family and love how their pictures came out! I hope y’all love them.
