snow day video

December 27, 2010

As promised here is the link to the video of Abby’s first snow day. I tried to get it to load on here but it would not work, so I put it on youtube.

Abby’s snow day

Today was the first snow day for our area, and for my 3 year old daughter Abby. Since Abby was born in Hawaii, she has never seen snow. I have been crossing my fingers hoping we would get some snow for her to play in it. So, this morning when my husband and I woke up to find snow, we got our cameras ready and went and woke Abby up. She was so excited and raced down the stairs yelling SNOW!! It was a great day!! I’ll have a video to share later, that my husband worked on, its really cute.

Well, I hope y’all enjoy the pictures and the snow!!!

This year for our Christmas cards I wanted to do something different so I gave my daughter, Abby, some lights and let her play in them. I just love how the pictures turned out, they show so much of her stubborn personality.

I hope y’all have a great Christmas and these make you smile.

My little girl

October 28, 2010

I just wanted to share a couple shots that I did recently of my little girl, who isn’t so little anymore. I’m starting to freak out about her turning 3 in December. Time goes so fast. On the up side at least I can get her to finally look at me when I take pictures, for a brief second anyway. Well I hope you enjoy them. :)

the beauty of a sunflower

September 11, 2010

Wow, I’m sorry it has been so long since I’ve  blogged. These past 45 days have been busy, emotional, and exciting. We packed up our home in Hawaii and said goodbye to some special people in our lives. Leaving Hawaii was hard, it had been our home for the past few years. Its where we had our daughter. Going to the beach was a part of her life. She still ask me to go to the beach like its just down the street.

After leaving Hawaii we stopped in Texas to visit with our families before we finished up our move to North Carolina. For as long as I could remember while living in Texas I’ve always wanted to take pictures with the sunflowers, but it never seemed to work out. So when we were visiting my husbands dad I made sure we had time to take some pictures with the sunflowers. I was overwhelmed with how beautiful they were. Even though Hawaii was one of the pretty places I have ever lived seeing the sunflowers reminded me that beauty is every where. I’m so excited to have a new start in North Carolina and find what makes North Carolina beautiful.

Here are our shots with the sunflowers, my husband was a great sport and took the shots of Abby and I. I hope you enjoy them. :)
